The concept of Beam Health was unearthed to meet the needs of children, young people and families navigating through mental health, emotional and cognitive challenges

As a group of passionate people with vast experience and skills in supporting children, young people and families and getting great outcomes, it was evident that something more was needed. It became clear to us that children, young people and their families in our local communities did not have easy access to the right therapeutic supports to enable them to become all that they can be. This was particularly true for children and young people who seemed to fall into a gap where specialist supports were not available to meet their unique needs in the areas of Psychology, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy.

We became determined to do something about this and meet this need in some way, and spent years using our deep knowledge and experience in child development, trauma and relationships to carefully plan and research the best way to help children, young people and families that could benefit from some expert help. The solution was Beam – a service built on knowledge and experience, but with wings to fly where no service has gone before.

Beam officially commenced service in July 2016, with the following ambitions:

Through high quality Psychology, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy supports, we shine the light on the well-being of children, youth and families to enable them to be everything they can be.

Our team of dedicated, experienced and friendly professionals use evidence-based strategies, which means they are the most effective and up-to-date techniques available. Our professional team members are all registered with their respective professional bodies and the NDIS and are approved to provide services by Medicare Australia and private health insurers. Our team possesses a wide array of skills to assist you with the needs of you or your child whether it be psychological or speech, language and communication.

Our team’s approach is warm, understanding, respectful and supportive. We will work hard to provide the best support we possibly can and develop relationships with you that go beyond standard service provision.
